The Raptors had until today to wipe Julyan Stone's $948,163 off the cap, and they did just that. The combo guard made very little impact on the Raps last season and with all due respect, it made little sense to keep him on the roster (both financially and personnel-wise) for the coming season.
In very limited minutes Stone averaged 0.9 points and 0.9 rebounds per game last season -- once Vasquez was brought over in the Rudy Gay trade, any role that Stone could possibly have hoped to have on this team was vaporized.
Expect the Raps to also waive Dwight Buycks prior to July 22nd ,unless he's able to impress during Summer League.
