TSN2 - 7:00 PM EST
In the wake of all the new logo and jersey discussions, all sorts of interesting articles on the Toronto Raptors have been popping up. One of my favourites is one TSN recently posted regarding the greatest "villain" in franchise history.
Is it Vince Carter?
T-Mac?
Bosh?
Hedo?
Or what about the player all of the attention will be focused on in tonight's match-up between the Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings, Rudy Gay.
I might take Hedo if I had to make a choice at gun point but the Rudy Gay inclusion is a bit ridiculous. Gay was the consummate professional while in Toronto, didn't ask to be traded to or away from Toronto, and wasn't a cancer in the locker room. He just wasn't a very effective player for the club, and not exactly a great benefit salary-cap wise.
However I expect the boobirds to show up tonight at least a little bit, and really, that's the least of my concerns tonight.
The real villain will likely be Kings' big man DeMarcus Cousins, who's been a wrecking ball any time these teams face off and to get a W tonight, I'm more worried about his production in the paint than any Rudy Gay narratives.
GO RAPS!
