It's not exactly an All-Star spot, but Kyle Lowry will take it I'm assuming.
Earlier today Lowry was named Eastern Conference player of the week and deservedly so as he averaged 25.0 points, 8.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds while helping the Toronto Raptors to a 3 and 1 week.
(Including, oh, that game against Brooklyn.)
Call it the "sorry we snubbed you" vote since the West's winner was none other than Goran Dragic, another deserving All-Star who will be staying home barring injuries, or maybe, just maybe, call it MOTIVATION.
Not that he needs motivation, but this recognition is a bit of a backhanded compliment in many ways in light of the All-Star miss, and perhaps this makes an already determined Lowry that much more hungry to tear up the league.
So.
Have fun tonight Trey Burke.
GO RAPS!
