We Were Saying LOU-rns: Williams Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

New, comments

After helping the Toronto Raptors to a 3-0 record, Lou Williams is your Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

It's official: Lou Williams is your Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

To recap: Williams averaged 23.7 points and 2.0 steals as he helped the Raptors to a 3-0 week. He tucked in a career high 36 point game, hit 10-19 three pointers (53 percent), and became the first bench player in history to go 15-of-15 from the free throw line in one game (for real?)

I should also mention that Williams hit approximately 28 shots at various buzzers over the past three games.

Now for some Raptors historical context:

That is some special company. (Yes, even including Mike James.)

(Especially including Mike James.)
