This year, SBNation and FanDuel are teaming up to provide readers with the opportunity to play daily fantasy basketball for potential cash prizes. We here at Raptors HQ are gladly taking part in the fun, providing you with weekly fantasy-based breakdowns of your beloved Toronto Raptors all season long.

Our coverage will include discussions regarding things like which matchups you should be targeting, injuries that come up and their fantasy fallout, hot and cold streaks to monitor, and so much more. We'll even dip in and out of talking about season-long fantasy formats and answering any questions you may have about the fantasy game.

Disclosure: Even though this is a sponsored post with affiliate links, all of the opinions in this post are my own. And as an FYI, FanDuel gave me some cash to play its daily fantasy games.

If you're not familiar with FanDuel or how daily fantasy sports works in general, you should know that you can choose to play for free or put down real money. In both formats, you get a set budget, which you use to pick a team from the pool of NBA players playing on any given night. Fill out your roster without going over your budget, then the more stats your guys pile up in the real games, the better chance you have of winning some cold, hard cash in the fake one.

For more information, check out the FanDuel NBA Beginners Guide. Once you're done there and feel like you have a grasp on things, check out the FanDuel NBA Strategy Center for some tips. If you're more of a visual learner, here's a handy video:

Later this year, we'll even have some private Raptors HQ games for us all to play together. For now, however, you can sign up for FanDuel here and play right away in an SBNation league, starting tonight at 7:05 p.m. ET.

Don't forget to check out the FanDuel rules before playing and remember that you must be 18 years or older and live in the US or Canada to play. Please note that residents of Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana or Washington cannot play for money. All Canadian provinces are good to go, though!
