The Raptors announced today that they've waived guard Will Cherry and swingman Jordan Hamilton. So, Greg Stiemsma wins the battle for the 15th spot.
In the preseason, Cherry averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 assists in 13.9 minutes of play. Hamilton played in five games and averaged 9.5 points, 3.0 rebounds in 18.3 minutes.
Not a surprise that the Raptors would go with Stiemsma, considering they have more than enough options at the moment at the guard and wing position. An extra big man at the end of the bench seems like the logical choice here.
The season starts on Wednesday. We're almost there.
