Did anyone win the Rudy Gay trade? Mark Deeks of the Basketball Jones blog thinks no one really won or lost.
There's a lot of analysis floating around about the Gay trade. However, in my opinion, Wages of Wins does the best job of summarizing the key points:
- Toronto will be significantly worse, traded away a draft pick, and added a lot of money to the team’s payroll.
- Memphis will be slightly improved and will save money over both the short-term and long-term.
- Detroit will be significantly improved and will save money over the long-term.
If you're optimistic about the Raptors' future after the Gay acquisition, you probably don't want to read Ball Don't Lie's Kelly Dwyer; SB Nation's Mike Prada and Tom Ziller; ESPN's Tom Haberstroh; Sports Illustrated's Rob Mahoney... basically, any NBA writer with a decent grasp of advanced stats and reality.
NBAers react to the three-team Gay trade via Twitter.
Of course, if you play fantasy basketball, you'll want to consider the fantasy impact of the three-team Gay trade.
Did the Gay trade help the Grizzlies win now, and build for the future?
The Raptors say Andrea Bargnani wouldn't mind a trade. Can't say I'd mind either!
Jonas Valanciunas is among the candidates to be the next All-Star from the 2011 NBA draft class.
Raptors' coach Dwane Casey is out a lot of money.
Here's everything you wanted to know about NBA towels.
Pat Sajak, Vanna White and the Wheel of Fortune will host the NBA next week.
Twenty-seven percent of Americans are morons believe god helps decide who wins sporting events.
