It's not yet official.
In fact, considering the Toronto Raptors' history of proposed trades that have died in the 25th hour, maybe we should be waiting for the official sing-off from the league office but for now, let's assume the trade does go through and Rudy Gay is dealt to the Sacramento Kings.
Again, in return for Gay (and Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy), the Raptors would acquire Grievis Vasquez, Patrick Patterson, John Salmons and Chuck Hayes meaning that one of the current Dinos (likely Dwight Buycks at this point) would have to go.
No lottery picks are forthcoming from this deal, no picks at all in fact and the move at face value represents simply a salary dump for the Raptors as GM Masai Ujiri continues his rebuilding plan.
So how do you feel about this trade? Good deal, bad deal, ok deal but could have been better? We want to know in today's poll.
