With a win tonight, the Toronto Raptors will be two games under .500, and will have won six of their last eight matches, including wins over Oklahoma City and Dallas.

They'll also stay a game ahead of the Boston Celtics for the Atlantic Division lead, and inch a bit closer to the Atlanta Hawks, the current third-best team in the Eastern Conference who as Sasha Kalra noted earlier today, are now minus Al Horford for a while.

Considering their opponent tonight, the New York Knicks, will again be without the services of Carmelo Anthony and have lost six of their last 10 games, this indeed could be another step in the anti-tank direction.

I'll be in transit back to Toronto after a nice holiday break on Prince Edward Island so will miss this match too but will catch up via PVR.

We'll see if my article on Monday takes on a tanking tone or not...
