Ok so the first game sans-Rudy Gay looked pretty good.  The Toronto Raptors moved the ball well, re-found their pick-and-roll game, and got everyone involved.

Including Amir Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas.

These two were at times pitifully neglected in the offence despite the fact that one is the supposed future of the franchise, and the other is simply an efficiency monster in close to the rim.

Now, that being said, the Raps were facing a Los Angeles Lakers squad that was trying to figure out a way to bring Kobe Bryant back and hasn't exactly been a defensive fortress this season.  Tonight versus the always-tough San Antonio Spurs, the new-look Raptors will get a much better test.

I get the feeling though that we'll see another solid effort from the Dinos, who will again be without their newly acquired Sacramento quartet.  I'm just not sure it will be enough for a W, and in many ways, that's ok with me...

GO RAPS!
