It feels slightly strange to be penning this gameday preview because in many ways, it seems like the Toronto Raptors haven't played a meaningful basketball game in almost a year.
Wait...they haven't?
Yep, with the club's glorious 4 and 523 start last year, things got ugly fast, and the club, despite some valiant attempts post All-Star break, never really got back into the playoff race.
This year could be different for a myriad of reasons, but like the expression goes, the club will still need to take it a game at a time. Starting with tonight versus the Boston Celtics.
The C's are a shell of their former selves after some major off-season renovations and on paper, this looks like a win for Toronto. But Boston is a scrappy bunch and I expect this one to be more of a fight than many might expect.
GO RAPS!
