Video: RaptorsHQ Talks to Jonas Valanciunas at Raptors' NBA Media Day 2013

While Rudy Gay will likely garner a big chunk of the attention placed on the Raptors this year, the other player most will be keeping an eye on is sophomore Jonas Valanciunas. Our Scott Campsall had a chance to chat with him at this year's Raptors' Media Day.

He's a man of few words.

Well...not Ed Davis-rookie-season-few-words, but Jonas Valanciunas does most of his talking on the court, something we saw healthy doses of this off-season both in the Vegas Summer League, and the recently concluded Eurobasket tourney.

It's a big season for Mr. Valanciunas as he's got that rookie year under his belt, and now looks to take the next step as a key (if not THE key) piece for this Toronto franchise going forward.  (Wait, you thought I was going to say Drake?)

Aside from the big picture though, myself, I'm excited to see him put to use many of the offensive moves we saw on display at this year's NBA Summer League, whether it be the airy hook shot he dropped on opponents, or the "I'm just going through you to the rim" bullishnish that his newly developed frame will enable him to do with more regularity.

Jonas was of course the Vegas MVP this year, something the HQ's Scott Campsall discusses with him in the most recent in our series of 2013 Raptors Media Day one-on-one interviews:
