Game-Day Thread: Raptors vs Nets - No Wallace as Raps Look for Win

Toronto Raptors vs Brooklyn Nets

January 15, 2013

Sportsnet - 7:30 PM EST

The Raptors couldn't get the job done against the Bucks on Sunday.

They've got a chance to right the ship tonight against the Nets.

As great as the recent run has been for the Dinos, the fact remains that by and large, Toronto has beaten the dregs of the league, and won the games they, on paper, should be winning.

However they haven't had nearly as much luck against the league's upper echelon clubs.

Whether it's a loss to the Thunder, or to the middling Bucks, if the Toronto Raptors want to show that they're serious about getting into the playoff mix, they need to start pulling off what some would call, "upset wins."

Wins like tonight's tilt against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets have been red-hot since canning head coach Avery Johnson, and are looking to make some noise in the East of their own. As Kinnon noted today, this should be another good test for Toronto, taking on a team missing one of their key players in Gerald Wallace.

GO RAPS!!
