It looks like this Chicago Pre Draft Combine is like a second coming out party for Andrew Nicholson.

He's already been showcasing his skills for some time at the college level but now with the NBA Draft only a few weeks away, he's beginning to impress even more than his incredible performances that helped get St. Bonaventure into the NCAA Tournament.

Doug Smith of the Toronto Star posted this quick story on Nicholson yesterday but it's not even telling the half of what those of us who've followed him closely for his time as a Bonnie - he has NBA ability. With so little coming out with regards to impressions from the teams that have worked him out so far, these next few tweets about him should be enough give you the indication of what he's leaving for observers with in the Windy City ...

Who impressed at ? Damian Lillard, Perry Jones, Terrence Ross, Meyers Leonard, Moe Harkless, Andrew Nicholson, Jared Cunningham

Andrew Nicholson doesn't miss. So skilled around basket and also from perimeter.

"They saw Andrew Nicholson display an offensive arsenal that made Bird proud." - on 's performance today.

It seems that the initial projections of Nicholson going somewhere in the late first or early second round could change dependant on what GMs and executive personnel come away with this weekend. Chad Ford has said himself that he could go a little higher ...

Me too. Maybe even a little better than that. There's some David West there ... I think he could go as high as Philly at 15. Maybe even Suns at 13. Don't think he gets past the Celtics at 21 or 22.

Now by all indications thus far, Nicholson is looking like he's rocketing up the Draft charts for the decision makers. This may put an end to any other workouts for teams so I'm hoping for more to come out about him by early the following week. All I can really say with some certainty is that Nicholson is has a chance to pull what Tristan Thompson did last season - going a hell of a lot higher than we would have expected when this whole process started.
