A Couple of More Updates to Our Commit List

We have yet more updates to the growing list of Canadian men heading into the Division 1 level for next season.

Hamilton native Tyrel Edwards, who was at Olney Central College last season will be suiting up for the Canisius College Griffins this coming fall and Winnipeg big man Chad Posthumus, who was at Howard College after a year at UBC, will be playing for the Morehead State Eagles.

Posthumus in particular will be an intriguing prospect to say the least. He's 6'11", 270 lbs. coming to a team that is lacking in serious height making him a potential heavy minute player as a junior college transfer. He was one of the top players in Canada a couple of years ago but suffered an injury his first season at UBC and was limited to 11 games that year. He then sat out his second year and headed south to do the juco route and his now found himself on a D1 program. The big question for Chad heading into this season will be is he mobile enough to handle the game at this level and the secondary question is will he have built himself enough strength to keep from getting injured seriously again. He'll have two years of eligibility left so now it's do or die time here.
