Right now the Toronto Raptors are tied with the New Jersey Nets for the sixth-best shot at drafting Anthony Davis in the upcoming NBA Draft. Thursday night's epic tilt between these two clubs will settle the tie and possibly see the Raps jump ahead of a few other clubs like Cleveland and Sacramento, who they are a half game back of in the race to the basement.
But you get the feeling that when all is said and done, the Raps will be selecting around the sixth spot, a tough place to be considering in most mock drafts have their likely top choices of Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Bradley Beal and Thomas Robinson all gone by then.
One of the more likely names though that will be around?
Jared Sullinger, who Draftexpress, in their most recent mock draft update from earlier today, has as the sixth best prospect in this draft. It's still fairly early obviously, and this latest update doesn't take team needs into account, but I think the point here is that the Raps should start me at PG Thursday night to ensure the best possible shot at a top 4 pick...
