Natalie Achonwa is Playing for a Spot in the Finals in the NC-Double-Eh Tournament Schedule

Tonight, we have the last Canadian lady looking to help get her Irish into the the last women's college game of the season and a possible chance at a ring ...

And here is where the women are playing today ...

NCAA

6:30pm Connecticut vs. Notre Dame

In the last game that Notre Dame played to get into the Final Four, the Lady Irish destroyed Maryland 80-49 and Natalie Achonwa had one of the best games of her sophomore season. She has been a spark off the bench all season and in this contest she showed a glimpse of what kind of talent she has. Achonwa went off for 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and a block in a very efficient 26 minutes while playing some important defense in the middle of the Irish zone and handling the Maryland bigs. Today against conference rival Connecticut, she'll need to play just as big a role for Notre Dame to get into the championship game. It should be noted that Achonwa hasn't had her better games against the Huskies this year averaging 3.5 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 19 minutes, including only start of the year. Achonwa is a better player than these numbers indicate and you can bet that she'll be looking to play better than she has against UConn this year tonight.
