Yesterday it was announced that the Toronto Raptors were waiving Rasual Butler, in time for him to join a playoff team. Yahoo! Sports reported that the Chicago Bulls might be the potential destination, but all of this of course seems strange to us Raptors' fans.
Not the waiving itself, that's the path most fans likely wanted the team to go about a day after his signing was initially announced. Butler was hardly an asset in his time here in Toronto (unless you're talking about helping with draft lottery positioning) and for someone who was supposed to be a shooter, well...his percentages as a member of the Dinos hardly make you say "aaaah, that's why Chicago might want him."
