Raptors Give Away Another One Thanks to Fourth Quarter Woes - Lose to Bulls

-There are probably a few recipes for tanking, and right now, Toronto seems to have the cookbook. We've seen close losses this year, we've seen blowouts, and we've also seen games that the Raptors look to have in the bag, slip through their fingertips. The latter would describe the recipe for tonight's 94 to 82 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

-Toronto led this one right up to the fourth quarter and then things fell apart. DeMar DeRozan, who had a blistering first half, again failed to carry his play through 48 minutes, and suddenly the team needed players like Andrea Bargnani and Jerryd Bayless to shoulder the scoring load. The only problem was that Andrea was terrible offensively going 2 of 10 from the field, and Bayless barely played a minute, trying out his sore hip but deciding in the end to shut it down.

-Maybe then Leandro Barbosa?

-Oh right, he's gone, and 2 of 9 shooting from Linas Kleiza isn't going to get the job done.

-Not when the Bulls bench of Kyle Korver and John Lucas drops 23 points of their own, easily outscoring all of TO's pine crew combined.

-In the end Toronto scored a measly 13 fourth quarter points to Chicago's 32 and that was it. Loss number 32 goes into the books and tanknation breathes a sigh of relief, a sigh that could easily turn to jubilation considering Toronto has to face the Bulls (and Knicks) again later this week, before taking on juggernauts like the Magic and Heat before ending the month.
