The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Feb. 7

Tonight we have a titanic ladies battle in the Big East pitting Notre Dame and Natalie Achonwa and Syracuse with Kayla Alexander in the Carrier Dome while on the men's side we have Melvin Ejim and Ty Nurse looking to lead their teams to W's all right here ...

Here is where the men are playing today ...

7:00pm Florida @ Kentucky

7:00pm Iowa State @ Oklahoma State - Last game out, Melvin Ejim helped to carry the slack when Iowa State's all world player Royce White only took one shot against Oklahoma Saturday (which he made. It was a three by the way). Ejim went for a season high 21 points and just missed out on his second double-double of the year grabbing 9 rebounds in the Cyclones' 77-70 win. I think that he has finally found his niche and comfort level in a much better team than last season and with the season winding down now, this will be an especially tough game to win on the road. Look for Ejim to play big here tonight.

7:00pm Mid-Continent College @ Eastern Kentucky

8:00pm Texas Tech @ Kansas State - It has been a rough season for Texas Tech over all and an especially tough conference season that has the Red Raiders winless in ten tries. Tonight against Kansas State I wouldn't expect a win here but I would look for Ty Nurse to hit for double digits again. He's done so now in three straight games averaging 14.3 making 16-of-31 shots including 7-of-16 from the trey.

8:05pm Creighton @ Evansville

10:05pm Seattle @ Idaho

And here is where the women are playing tonight ...

7:00pm Notre Dame @ Syracuse - Now this is what marquee games are made of, at least when it comes to Canadian ballers. We have Natalie Achonwa and Notre Dame taking on Kayla Alexander and Syracuse at the Carrier Dome. The Fighting Irish will have the talent advantage but the Orange will have the homecourt advantage. Alexander has been having a very good season so far ranking in the top ten in the Big East in scoring (9th with 15.0), rebounding (19th with 7.3) and blocks (1st with 2.6) and will be looking to lead the Orange in a road upset. But I'm sure Achonwa, a Big East Honor Roll selection this week, will have something to say about that once she's on the floor. This could be a game that you need to watch.
