The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Feb. 27

Tonight we have a few games that you should check out that include Baylor and Gonzaga and a couple of great ladies games that include three Big East match ups all right here ...

Here is where the men are playing today ...

7:30pm Coppin State @ Maryland-Eastern Shore

8:00pm Texas-Pan American @ North Dakota

9:00pm Texas Tech @ Baylor - Baylor's Brady Heslip has been shooting very well of late for the Bears. He's averaging 14 points in his last three games and has made 11 of his 20 threes. This should be a Baylor win tonight so I'd expect Heslip to continue bombing from the outside if the Bears' inside game is clicking (and it should). With standings and national rankings still in full effect for Baylor, this is a big game.

9:00pm Longwood @ Gonzaga - This will be Gonzaga's last regular season game and it's against a non-WCC team oddly enough. In the Zags' last five games, in the four wins Kevin Pangos has looked very good. He's averaging 15.3 in the four wins (13.2 in the last five) as well as 2 rebounds and 4.5 assists (2.8 boards and 3.8 dimes in the last five respectively). Robert Sacre is averaging 13 points and 4.8 rebounds in the four wins but had his best overall game in the team's loss going for 11 point, 8 boards and 4 blocks. With today's game having little meaning in the over conference standings, I would think that this could be a rest game for the starters which means that both Pangos and Sacre could see their minutes reduced to save them for the conference tournament that's right around the corner.

And here is where the ladies are playing today ...

7:00pm LIU Brooklyn @ Fairleigh Dickinson

7:00pm Syracuse @ Villanova - In the narrow Syracuse 65-62 loss to Georgetown Saturday, Kayla Alexander had her seventh double-double of the season going for 11 points, 13 rebounds and a season high 8 blocks. This is the last regular season game for the Orange women so this has seeding implications. It could be a big one for Alexander.

7:00pm Wagner @ Bryant - This will be a good game to catch. Both Wagner and Bryant have Canadian ladies making big noise for them. For Wager, Marie Archambault is the outside threat and team's second leading scorer. For Bryant, Naana Ankoma-Mensa is their inside player who is the team's walking double-double. This is worth a gander tonight.

7:30pm Marquette @ Rutgers - Katherine Plouffe came off the bench for Marquette on Saturday against UConn and managed 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal and a block in her time. The Eagles still lost but she's making a case for herself as a player worthy of an all conference nod. With the being the last game of the season and the ladies likely playing for pride, I would expect here to try and go out with a bang.

8:00pm Cincinnati @ DePaul

8:00pm IUPUI @ North Dakota State

9:00pm Notre Dame @ Connecticut - It's Notre Dame and Natalie Achonwa on tonight. This will be titanic for sure and you can bet that Achonwa will be a factor off the bench for the Irish.
