Today we have a relatively light schedule but some bigs games notheless. We have Baylor and their long distance gunner Brady Heslip as well as super freshman Justin Edwards and Maine in the early evening and then New Mexico State with their now four Canadians in the late evening. Find out who else is playing right here ...
Remember that you can find the full list of players playing in Division 1 right here.
7:00pm Texas @&M @ Baylor - In his last five games, Baylor's Brady Heslip has made 20 of his 40 threes so far this season. He's shooting .494 from the trey this season and all but six of his total field goals are triples so I wonder how many he'll drop in this game?
7:00pm Northeastern @ Towson
7:00pm UMBC @ New Hampshire
7:00pm Maine @ Binghamton - The last time that Maine's Justin Edwards managed only 4 points in his team's 84-72 loss to Florida Gulf Coast last Thursday. The last time he scored in single digits he hit a stretch where he was near triple-double numbers in three straight games. It could begin here again with conference play.
7:00pm Drexel @ Georgia State
7:00pm Rider @ Manhattan
7:30pm Niagara @ Loyola (MD)
9:05pm Idaho State @ Northern Colorado
10:00pm Long Beach State @ UC Irvine
10:00pm New Mexico State @ Cal State Bakersfield - I had suspected there may be trouble brewing under the surface of the Christian Kabongo suspension a couple of weeks back and my suspicions were right. The school announced that he will be transferring yesterday. This won't be New Mexico State's first game without their team's second leading scorer so expect the Aggies to pick up a run. Daniel Mullings will likely be starting the rest of the season beginning today and he's been very effective in extended minutes. Look for Hernst Laroche to get more scoring touches and for Tyrone Watson to play extended minutes also in a stopper/rebounder type role tonight.
And here is where our ladies are playing today ...
2:00pm American @ George Washington
3:00pm Indiana @ Minnesota
4:30pm Niagara @ Loyola (MD)
5:00pm Maine @ Binghamton
5:00pm Brigham Young @ Portland
7:00pm Stony Brook @ Vermont - In Vermont's last three games, Lauren Buschmann has been a bright spot in the losses averaging 18.3 points, 8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.7 steals. She did it all against La Salle, Georgetown and Marquette which isn't bad at all. Look for here to help get her Catamounts on the winning track tonight against Stony Brook.
7:00pm La Salle @ Northeastern
7:00pm Canisius @ Siena - In Canisius' current three game win streak, both Jamie Ruttle and Courtney Vandebovenkamp are playing great. Combined, the two are averaging 24 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks. Look for them to make if a four game winning streak for the Golden Griffs tonight against Siena.
