Today we have a whole lot of great action for you that includes Justin Edwards, Olu and Devoe, the Gonzaga boys, a trio of Aggies in New Mexico and a few great lady ballers ...
Remember that you can find the full list of players playing in Division 1 right here.
7:00pm Hartford @ Maine - This week Justin Edwards was honored again by his conference for the performances he had last week in two losses (we did too by the way). Let's see if he can help guide Maine to a much needed win and snap the three game losing streak.
7:00pm Samford @ Elon
7:00pm Mount St. Mary's @ LIU Brooklyn
7:00pm Binghamton @ UMBC
7:00pm Wagner @ St. Francis (NY)
7:00pm Charleston @ Davidson - After starting off 2012 with a 22 point game, Davidson's Nik Cochran has cooled off somewhat not making more than 9 points in his last three contests. He's only averaged 4 shot attempts in the last three games but he's been getting to the line where he's 17-of-22. Davidson will need to get Cochran's outside going if they want to hold off Charleston.
7:00pm Tennessee-Martin @ Eastern Kentucky
8:00pm Boston College @ NC State
8:00pm IUPUI @ South Dakota
8:00pm Louisiana-Lafayette @ Arkansas-Little Rock
8:00pm Niagara @ Canisius
8:00pm Jacksonville State @ Tennessee Tech
8:30pm USC @ Oregon - Devoe Joseph is currently riding a four game double digit scoring run and is averaging 18 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals in 37.3 minutes per game. Pretty decent I'd say and the team is 3-1 in that time span. Olu Ashaolu is averaging 9.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 17.8 minutes in that same four game run. The Ducks will need everything from both those players to get this W from a tough USC team.
8:30pm Arizona State @ Colorado
8:30pm California @ Washington
9:00pm Northern Colorado @ Montana
10:00pm San Francisco @ Gonzaga - It's been a strange previous week for Gonzaga given that they were embarrassed by Saint Mary's on the road and they narrowly beat out Loyola Marymount in LA. Tonight's San Francisco team will be no different and the Dons will be looking to hand another loss to the Zags. Both Kevin Pangos and Rob Sacre will need to step it up a notch tonight, particularly Sacre who's seemed like a shell of the player he was before he got hurt early in December. Since the Dons handed BYU their only loss in conference play so far this season, expect this one to be a dogfight.
10:05pm Stanford @ Washington State
10:30pm New Mexico State @ San Jose State - New Mexico State is a three headed monster when it comes to Canadians and if it's not Hernst Laroche scoring 20 points it's Daniel Mullings scoring 17 or Ty Watson making clutch free throws. With the Aggies taking on winless San Jose State, this should be a game where you see all three Canucks free wheelin' to padded stat numbers.
11:00pm San Diego @ Portland
And here is where the ladies are playing today ...
1:00pm Colorado @ Arizona State
6:00pm Niagara @ Canisius
6:00pm Nebraska @ Ohio State
6:30pm Denver @ Louisiana-Monroe
7:00pm Akron @ Ohio
7:00pm Delaware @ Towson
7:00pm Vermont @ Albany - Vermont didn't have leading scorer and rebounder Lauren Buschmann due to an injury in her last game and the team stepped up all around but still fell to Maine 70-60. With no word of yet whether Buschmann will be playing, this could be another Catamount loss who really don't have much of a backup for her in the middle.
7:00pm UMBC @ Binghamton
7:00pm Northeastern @ Drexel
7:00pm Buffalo @ Kent State - In her last four games, Buffalo's Brittany Hedderson is averaging 25.8 points, 5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2 steals and a block and is consistently the lone bright spot for the Bulls. For no other reason than to see how many she can score is this game worth checking out.
7:30pm Cincinnati @ Connecticut
8:00pm Youngstown State @ Green Bay
8:00pm Michigan @ Northwestern
8:00pm Michigan State @ Minnesota
8:00pm Tulsa @ Houston
8:00pm Cleveland State @ Milwaukee
8:35pm Weber State @ Northern Arizona
9:00pm Utah @ Arizona - If it's not Taryn Wicijowski manning the middle and playing big its Michelle Plouffe on a given night. Both these two have played extremely well together and each has picked up when the other hasn't gotten it going for Utah. Which one will step it up tonight? Or will we be in for a big game from both of them?
9:00pm Portland @ San Diego
10:00pm Louisiana Tech @ Hawaii
10:00pm UC Santa Barbara @ Long Beach State
10:00pm BYU @ Loyola Marymount
