Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day to all!
MLK Day each year marks a slew of basketball contests and appropriately, the Raps are in Hotlanta this afternoon to take on the Hawks.
Toronto is of course trying to get out of its recent losing streak, but even an Al Horford-less Hawks squad will be a tough test, especially considering the match-up woes the Dinos have had facing Atlanta over the past few seasons. A win would be big though as Toronto is just starting a batch of road games, and could use a boost to a January that has seen them win only three of their 10 games.
Unfortunately as of now, the Raps are expected to be without Andrea Bargnani, Jerryd Bayless, and now James Johnson...
...which probably explains why Atlanta is a 10-point favourite at most spots in Vegas.
We'll try to sneak in some discussion from our respective jobs, and perhaps the Dinos' D will pull off a shocker...
