The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Jan. 14

Today we have a whole slew of games from noon to dusk that include a few guys named Kris Joseph, Andrew Nicholson, Kevin Pangos, Rob Sacre, Devoe Joseph and the trio of Canadian cats at New Mexico State as well as a few ladies to boot on this Super Saturday of NC-Double-Eh action ...

Remember that you can find the full list of players playing in Division 1 right here.

12:00pm Kentucky @ Tennessee

12:00pm St. Bonaventure @ Xavier - Andrew Nicholson had his best game of the season for St. Bonaventure a few days ago against Dayton going for third double-double of the season putting up 30 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks. Could he be making a turn to the player of last season? This game against Xavier would have been among the highlight games of the season if the Musketeers haven't been on a slide but it should still be good. Nicholson will have a tough time on the block going against Kenny Frease. Matthew Wright will have his hands full trying to keep up with All American candidate Tu Halloway.

1:00pm William & Mary @ Northeastern

1:00pm North Carolina State @ Wake Forest

1:00pm Bucknell @ Lafayette - With having an up and down season so far, it was refreshing to see Bryson Johnson drop 17 points in the 70-57 win over Colgate this past Wednesday which included 5-of-9 threes off the bench. This may be his new role.

1:00pm Texas @ Missouri - I don't want to say that Myck Kabongo is freefalling, because he's not, but I can say that he's not had his best games of late. He did come off the bench by the way in the Longhorns' win over Texas A&M Jan. 11.

2:00pm Pittsburgh @ Marquette

2:00pm George Washington @ Harvard

2:00pm Davidson @ Appalachian State

2:00pm Lehigh @ Colgate

2:00pm Saint Louis @ Charlotte

2:00pm Furman @ Western Carolina

3:00pm Oklahoma State @ Baylor - As an FYI, Baylor's Brady Heslip is averaging more threes per game (2.9) than rebounds and assists combined (2.5) so watch for him to bomb away.

3:00pm Vermont @ New Hampshire

3:30pm Oregon @ Arizona - Devoe Joseph is averaging 19.7 points and 5 rebounds in his last three games which includes shooting .525 from the floor (20-of-39) and 11-of-18 threes. I'd say that he's on fire, wouldn't you. Will he continue his hot shooting today against a Jekyll and Hyde Arizona team?

4:00pm Iowa State @ Kansas

4:00pm Colorado @ Stanford

4:00pm Elon @ Charleston

4:30pm Monmouth @ LIU Brooklyn

6:00pm Providence @ Syracuse - Kris Joseph has been having an up and down season but he's not been playing badly. He just happens to play on an ultra talented team that doesn't require him to be the star all the time. Will he be the alpha dog today?

6:00pm Tennessee Tech @ Murray State

6:05pm Eastern Washington @ Northern Colorado

7:00pm Penn @ Cornell

7:00pm Temple @ Richmond

7:00pm UCF @ Marshall

7:00pm Drexel @ North Carolina-Wilmington

7:00pm Maine @ Albany - Four days ago, Justin Edwards had his first double-double of the season going for 10 points and 10 rebounds while also adding 6 assists and a steal. He's somewhat come down to earth in the last few weeks with his scoring but he's still a triple threat whenever he's on the floor.

7:00pm Central Connecticut State @ Wagner

7:30pm Maryland-Eastern Shore @ Delaware State

7:45pm Eastern Kentucky @ Morehead State

8:00pm Gonzaga @ Loyola Marymount - Gonzaga lost to Saint Mary's two days ago and it wasn't just a loss - it was a blowout loss. Pangos had 12 points and 4 assists in the game to lead the Zags but the real story was Rob Sacre. He had been nursing an injuries the late in December and he's looking like a shell of the player that he was last season. He seems to be lacking confidence which he'll need for his team to get over the NCAA hump in a suddenly competitive West Coast Conference. Will it come back tonight against Loyola Marymount?

8:00pm Oregon State @ Arizona State

8:00pm Santa Clara @ Brigham Young

8:00pm Detroit @ Milwaukee

8:00pm Hampton @ Coppin State

8:00pm Rice @ Tulane

8:05pm Arkansas-Little Rock @ Arkansas State

8:30pm South Dakota @ North Dakota State

9:00pm LSU @ Arkansas - Marvell Waithe had one of his best games this year in the tough 71-63 Arkansas loss to Mississippi a few nights ago. He dropped 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals in 29 minutes off the bench and is making a case for himself to start. Maybe this could be the game.

9:00pm Idaho @ New Mexico State - Hernst Laroche, Tyrone Watson and new starter Daniel Mullings are now login heavy minutes with the conference season now in full swing. They should be counted for at least half the production of New Mexico State tonight. What will be interesting to see is if Idaho's Djim Bandoumel can stay out of foul trouble and keep the middle locked up for the Vandals against a very quick Aggies team.

10:00pm UC Irvine @ UC Santa Barbara

10:05pm Idaho State @ Sacramento State

10:30pm Utah @ California

11:00pm Portland @ Saint Mary's

And here is where the women are playing today ...

1:00pm American @ Holy Cross

1:00pm Richmond @ Massachusetts

1:00pm Kent State @ Akron

2:00pm North Carolina A&T @ Howard

2:00pm Loyola (IL) @ Cleveland State

2:00pm Hartford @ Binghamton

2:00pm Rhode Island @ Fordham

2:00pm Colgate @ Lehigh

2:00pm Monmouth @ LIU Brooklyn

2:00pm Green Bay @ Detroit

2:00pm Fairleigh Dickinson @ St. Francis (NY)

3:00pm New Hampshire @ Vermont - Lauren Buschmann has been the force on the offensive side for Vermont all season and she had her best game as a Catamount this year going for 18 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in the win over Binghamton Wednesday. Let's see if she can make it back-to-back double-doubles.

3:00pm Notre Dame @ Cincinnati - I just like seeing what Natalie Achonwa will do in the Notre Dame games simply because she's playing on one of the best women's teams in the NCAA. When she's gotten time she's produced.

3:30pm Bryant @ Mount St. Mary's - Bryant's Naana Ankoma-Mensa has been on a tear in the last five weeks playing inspired ball and is looking to extend the Bulldogs' winning streak to four games for January. In the thrilling 75-71 win over Robert Morris this past Monday, she tallied a career high 21 points in the victory.

3:30pm Alcorn State @ Mississippi Valley State

4:00pm Weber State @ Montana

4:00pm Boise State @ Air Force

5:00pm Brigham Young @ San Diego

5:00pm San Francisco @ Portland

5:00pm UC Riverside @ UC Santa Barbara

5:30pm Hampton @ Coppin State

6:00pm South Dakota @ North Dakota State

6:00pm Stanford @ Colorado

7:00pm Chicago State @ Seattle U

10:00pm Hawaii @ San Jose State

10:30pm Washington @ Washington State
