The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Mar. 11

Today we have teams fighting for thier NCAA Tournament invite and Syracuse is front and centre of our teams to watch.  Find out who else is playing today right here ...

Marquee Matchup

7:00pm Connecticut vs. Syracuse

Syracuse was lucky enough that they had been able to escape the upstart St. John’s Red Storm yesterday and today they have to face UConn.  Despite being ranked in the AP’s Top 25, they seemed to have been on an uphill climb when facing just about anyone in the Big East which makes them a dangerous team.  The dynamic Kemba Walker will need to be contained and the other players shut down for the ‘Cuse to come out on top in this one and again Kris Joseph will be the likely catalyst.  In the win against the Red Storm, Joseph scored 14 points but more importantly he had 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks.  This is the player that we may have all envisioned at the start of the season and it looks like it’s all coming together at the right time.  Anyone that UConn has guarding Joseph will be a mismatch so this could be a big game for him.

9:30pm Texas A&M vs. Texas

*The Texas game was added to the schedule late due to pending game results so I may not be able to profile this game because I'm at work but it's definitely worth checking out*

And here is where everyone else is playing today …

4:45pm Lafayette vs. Bucknell – What we have here is a winner take all game and the winner is going to the NCAA Tournament.  Jared Mintz came up huge in Lafayette’s overtime win over American putting up 18 points and 6 rebounds in to get here.  Bucknell’s Bryson Johnson had 11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in their last game to get here.  Both teams are sitting on opposite ends of the Patriot League standings but with a do or die environment it’s still anyone’s game.

9:00pm Rhode Island vs. Richmond

12:00am New Mexico State vs. Boise State – New Mexico State beat out Nevada to get here and it may be a tougher game playing against Boise State.  Hernst Laroche, Tyrone Watson and Christian Kabongo had 26 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in the win which equal to between 30% to 90% of the team totals for the entire game in those stats.  They had come up big and they will need to come up as big in this game also for the win.

12: 00am UC Riverside vs. Cal Northridge
