Tonight we have two Marquee Games for you to check out that include Seahawk and a Bulldog. Find out where everyone else is playing on this busy night here ...
Marquee Matchup(s)
7:00pm Wagner @ St. Francis (PA)
Wagner is coming off back-to-back losses but still has a chance to finish the regular season above .500 but they need to win tonight’s game. Tyler Murray has been the man for the Seahawks all season and will need to be again for the W. He’s only scored in single digits once this season and he’s working on a sixteen game streak. Murray did have 18 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists in the narrow 77-73 loss to St. Francis (NY) five days ago and he’ll need to be better in this game. St. Francis (PA) is looking like they may be able to take this one away from Wagner so I’d expect a tight contest tonight.
12:30am Louisiana Tech @ Hawaii
Olu Ashaolu is coming off back-to-back double-double games and going into the last few contests of this season, he’ll need to come up big for Tech. With star guard and leading scorer DeAndre Brown having been suspended for the remainder of the season Ashaolu needs to be the rock from here on in. He’s working on eight straight double digit scoring games with five double-double in that span and tonight there is a strong possibility that this could be another big game.
And here is where everyone else is playing tonight …
6:30pm Eastern Kentucky @ Tennessee-Martin
7:00pm Marquette @ U Conn
7:00pm Milwaukee @ Cleveland State
7:00pm Boston University @ Binghamton
7:00pm Elon @ Davidson – Nik Cochran has scored in double digits in the last three games, four of the last five, and is averaging 16 points and 2.7 rebounds in 23.3 minutes off the bench in that span. He’s looking more comfortable at the right time to help Davidson in their stretch run.
7:00pm Northeastern @ George Mason
7:00pm Bryant University @ Long Island
7:00pm Mount St. Mary’s @ Robert Morris
7:00pm Central Connecticut State @ St. Francis (NY)
7:00pm Citadel @ Western Carolina – Harouna Mutombo has been playing very well in the last few weeks and is playing particularly well in the last four games. He’s averaging 14.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2 steals and a block in 34 minutes in four wins. Mutombo is looking really good at the right time and he could be the X-factor for the Catamounts going into the post season.
7:30pm Belmont @ Mercer
8:00pm Hannibal-LaGrange @ SIU-Edwardsville
8:05pm Arkansas-Little Rock @ South Alabama
9:00pm Stanford @ Oregon State
9:00pm IPFW @ Southern Utah
9:00pm California @ Oregon
10:05pm UC Davis @ UC Irvine
10:30pm Idaho @ Nevada
11:00pm Portland @ San Diego – Nem Mitrovic continues on his roll this month having dropped 15 points including three treys and grabbing 6 rebounds in 36 minutes. He’s scored in double figures in the last seven games and is currently the team’s leading scorer. Expect him to make this game a tune up before the Pilots take on Saint Mary’s two days later. As a side note, Jasonn Hannibal had a career high 15 points including 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in his Senior Day start.
11:00pm Arizona State @ UCLA
11:00pm Gonzaga @ Saint Mary’s – Since the Gonzaga win over Portland to start off February, Rob Sacre has been having a tough stretch. Sacre’s been averaging 5.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists in the last five games looking more like the player he was two years ago than the monster of this season. The one good thing is that he’s still averaged 2.4 blocks in that time so he’s at least doing that. Tonight against Saint Mary’s his last five games won’t cut and he’ll need to play big here. Kelly Olynyk has been putting up good numbers in his very limited minutes and Manny Arop is still suffering from diminished role syndrome.
11:30pm Loyola Marymount @ Santa Clara
