FYI, the Can Ball Report is not that old but the new logo is super snazzy don't ya think ...

So I bet you're wondering about the title thinking "what exactly is this new era all about?" Well, The Can Ball Report is taking another step into the digital world: the podcast ...

So after weeks of thinking, procrastinating, more thinking, planning, forgetting, finally doing, revising and then more thinking, I have finally created my very first Can Ball Report Podcast. I've always wanted to step into this arena thinking two things: one, that if all I'm doing is talking then it's got to be easier than writing, and two, that if I can get this done it would add another dimensiont to the site and the stuff I write about on the site. Well, the second thing is definitely true but the first thing is about as far from the truth as I could have imagined. This simple sounding 30 minute audio clip took a good few hours to record (multiple times might I add)and edit (also multiple times). This podcasting is not for the faint of heart and determination, that's for sure.

My initial thought was that a podcast would allow for an almost 3-D dimension to the content that I write here. By that I mean that instead of just reading, you can enjoy me droning on about Canadian basketball content while you do other things like fold socks, mind the baby, or even try to fall asleep in bed. We at the site know that time is very valuable to all of you, our valued reader, and we appreciate you taking time out of your day to check in with us. We hope (me in particular) that this will be another avenue for you to enjoy our content. I'll be looking to do a podcast every few weeks for the time being with the goal being weekly for this season. Since I do all the Canadian Content, that will be my focus so if there is anything you want me to take a look at or address, I'm open to suggestions.

Now, I know that this first attempt will have all the first attempt things - volume issues, the humming (which I couldn't edit despite numerous retakes), the cheesy sound effects - but I hope you stick with me and us at the site as we work these things out to give you the best in Canadian content that we can give you. So for now, hit the link, press play and listen closely because the sound quality will flucuate occasionally and we'll be giving you something new that we hope will thing is a stroke of genius ... or at least is informative.

Thanks for tuning in

Can Ball Ray

P.S. - My wife totally appreciates that you will be my captive audience and not her.
