The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Nov. 17

Today we have some games on tap that you should think about watching including the big feature game which has Maine and taking on U Conn, Justin Edwards potentially taking on Jeremy Lamb ...

Marquee Matchup

7:00pm Maine @ Connecticut

Whitby, ON’s Justin Edwards had a monster coming out game to start his college career dropping a near double-double going for 24 points and 9 rebounds.  He also threw in 5 steals, 3 blocks and 2 assists for good measure.  I’m not sure will Maine has a legitimate shot at winning this game but if the match ups work out, Edwards will probably be defending Jeremy Lamb and the same will be happening on the defensive end.  If this works out to be the match up, it will be exciting to see and a huge baptism by fire for Edwards.  As an added bonus, maybe Mike Allison will be back from injury.

And for the rest of the men …

1:00pm Purdue vs. Iona

7:00pm Fairfield @ Minnesota

7:00pm Hampton @ RichmondFrancis-Cedric Martel has been a starter for the last two years and now with the loss Kevin Anderson and Justin Harper should really be able to earn more involvement in the offense scheme.  This could be a starting point.

7:00pm Penn @ Rider

7:30pm Western Carolina @ Presbyterian – With both Harouna Mutombo and Keaton Cole now seniors, catching these two in action is always a treat.  Both players will play major minutes and in what should be a win, these two will be factoring huge.

8:00pm Southern University @ Rice

8:00pm Niagara @ Missouri

8:05pm Tennessee-Martin @ Arkansas State

9:00pm Idaho @ Montana

10:00pm Eastern Washington @ Oregon – So Olu Ashaolu had a rough first game against a ranked Vanderbilt team last week.  He was saddled with foul trouble and only managed 6 points and 3 rebounds in 26 minutes.  Expect Olu to come out with a chip on his shoulder in this game and to show he was worth all the fuss when he opted to transfer this summer.

And for the ladies …

7:00pm Hartford @ Notre Dame

7:00 Penn State @ Delaware – Vanessa Kabongo, Myck sister, is a starter for Delaware and should have a good game.  On top of that, Elena Delle Donne is her teammate so there are two reasons to root for the Blue Hens.

7:00pm Northeastern @ Kentucky

5:00pm Troy @ Furman

6:00pm Utah @ Michigan – After the big games that both Taryn Wicijowski and Michelle Plouffe this past weekend look for the Canadian tandem to put up the bulk of the fight against the Wolverines.  With Michigan being a very good team, this could be a dogfight.

7:00pm Maryland-Eastern Shore @ James Madison

8:00pm Illinois State @ Northwestern – Former Junior National Team member Karly Roser had a good two games for Northwestern posting two starts and averaging 11 points, 5.5 rebounds, 9 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in 33 minutes.  She’s fast becoming an anchor for the Wildcats and is worth watching now.

8:00pm Alcorn State @ Mississippi State

9:00pm Saint Mary’s @ UC Santa Barbara

9:05pm Boise State @ Idaho State – Diana Lee could be a factor in the outcome of this game for Boise State.

9:05pm San Diego @ Eastern Washington
