After Friday night's massive schedule on both the men's and women's side, today's looks a lot like an anorexic edition. But there is still some action to be had and the day's games feature two Big East teams with a Canadian connection ...
Marquee Match Up
First up the men ...
4:00pm Fordham @ Syracuse
This is the start of Kris Joseph’s senior season. He is an obvious talent but it will be interesting to see how he makes out in this game. Will he be the "man" from the opening tip? Or will he have to earn his star even though he’s one of the Cs for this team. This will be an interesting game for sure.
2:00pm Lehigh @ Iowa State– Melvin Ejim should be starting at the three, his natural position, but with the influx of talent to the Cyclones, will he get swept away?
2:30pm Florida Atlantic @ Portland– Without Jared Stohl and Luke Sikma, will Nem Mitrovic be able to shine like he did last season now that he will likely be the guy the offense is geared towards.
4:00pm Eastern Kentucky @ Winthrop
5:00pm Wagner @ Princeton– Tyler Murray was a large reason that Wagner won as many games it did last season so can we expect him to carry that success over from a few months ago?
5:05pm Idaho @ Long Beach State
7:00pm Colgate @ Binghamton
8:00pm New Orleans @ Rice
8:05pm Upper Iowa University @ Drake
9:00pm New Mexico State @ Northern Colorado– Hernst Laroche should no doubt be the main cog for the New Mexico State Aggies but it will be interesting to see the other four Canucks and what they contribute early.
And for the Women …
1:00pm Alcorn State @ Southern Methodist
2:00pm Florida State vs. Minnesota
4:05pm Arkansas-Pine Bluff @ Nebraska
7:00pm South Wesleyan @ Charleston Southern
8:00pm Mississippi Valley State @ Marquette– One half of team Plouffe will be looking to take a bigger role in the Golden Eagles’ success making this a game to watch.
8:00pm Harvard @ Iowa
Remember that all game times are in EST so prepare accordingly ...
