Today's Marquee Match Up features a Purple Eagle looking to build on a success string of games against Siena.  Find out where everyone else is playing today right here ...

Marquee Match Up

2:00pm Niagara @ Siena

Eric Williams seems to be some sort of enigma.  I’m not sure what to make of his season so far mostly because he has been all over with his playing time.  Playing one minute one game then playing over 30 the next doesn’t really allow for a true rhythm to happen but Williams has been making the best of his relatively consistent playing time over the last six games.  He’s averaging 5.7 points and 5 rebounds in 24.5 minutes and is coming off a career game last Friday when he went for 18 points, 9 rebounds (both being career highs) and 2 steals in the 72-66 loss to Iona.  With steady minutes, Williams has shown that he can produce but since the Purple Eagles are currently riding a five game losing streak facing Siena, will his minutes get dramatically cut again today in favor of lineup experimentation?

And here is where everyone else is playing today …

12:00pm Iona @ Loyola (MD)

2:00pm Detroit @ Green Bay

3:00pm Stetson @ Belmont

3:05pm Drake @ Illinois StateKurt Alexander’s role on this year’s Drake team has been undefined it seems but he has been getting consistent minutes off the bench for the most part.  In his last game this past Tuesday, a 73-70 loss to Missouri State, he posted a career high 13 points while dishing for 4 assists and grabbing 2 rebounds.  The last time he had a big game like this he managed to sustain it for a little while so we’re hoping he follows that trend beginning today.
