NC-Double-Eh Schedule - March 5

With the first March weekend upon us now, conference have begun their respective end of season tournaments.  Today we have highlighted an afternoon game, which is Davidson vs. Elon, and an evening game, which is Santa Clara vs. San Diego.  Both feature Canadians and both will be good ones to watch.  Check out the other games right here ...

With the post season conference tournaments getting underway across the NCAAs now, we've highlighted the games to watch today.  And as always, check in with the Can Ball Report on Twitter for any game links.

March 5

2:00pm Elon vs. Davidson – the Southern Conference begins its tournament today and the first men’s game is this one between the Wildcats and the Phoenix.  This should be a sweet revenge match for Davidson since the last time both teams met Elon beat the ‘Cats by three in overtime.  Will Archambault didn’t play a prominent role in that game, or much this season after a pre season All SoCon nods by some publications, so expect him to come out firing and the same for freshman, and fellow Quebecois, Nik Cochran.

6:00pm Detroit vs. Green Bay

7:00pm Columbia @ Yale

7:00pm Cornell @ Brown

7:00pm Samford vs. Citadel

11:00pm Santa Clara vs. San Diego – Santa Clara still clings to the hope of advancing to the NCAA’s but to do so they will need to win the WCC Tournament.  Their first challenge is beating San Diego which has the same conference record.  For the Broncos to win this game, they will need to get a big game from Vancouver’s Marc Trasolini who has been the steady rock in the middle all season.  It is safe to say that without a big effort from Traz, SCU will begin their next season sooner than expected.  And check out the profile Traz on SLAMonline by your favorite observer of all things Canadian in the NCAA.
