As always, we've highlighted the big games to watch tonight and remember to check in with the Can Ball Report on Twitter for any game links we can find for you.
March 3
7:00pm Saint Joseph’s @ George Washington
7:00pm Duquesne @ St Bonaventure – with the Atlantic 10 Tournament just around the corner, this game will be important for the Bonnies. They are currently with both George Washington and Duquesne in the standings and a win here could help them separate themselves in time for pairings. Andrew Nicholson kept in check the last two games largely due to foul trouble but should come out in this one and show why he is a projected future pro.
7:00pm Colgate @ Lafayette – the Patriot League Tournament starts tonight with the quarterfinal round and Lafayette will be hosting a tournament game for the first time since 2000. That is in large part due to the play of Toronto big man Jared Mintz. Mintz has not been quite in full form since injuring his ankle in late February but he is still the engine that makes the Leopards go. Look for a gutsy performance here from Mintz who will be helping in other ways besides scoring.
7:00pm Holy Cross @ Bucknell
8:00pm Chicago State @ Northwestern – with the Great West Tournament beginning next week, it seems that every team will be making it for this fledgling league. That works out well for sputtering Chicago State who will be facing a tough non-conference opponent in Northwestern. This is a game that should be given a look because sophomore guard Tshing Kasamba has had a breakout February of sorts going for double digit scoring in five of seven games, six of the last eight. Of those five games, the St Catherines, ON native has scored less than 18 points only once and had a career high 20 to go with ten rebounds against North Dakota on Feb 25. This may be a foreshadowing of next season for sure but against a top rate defense, if he can produce those same numbers, he may be a player on the rise.
8:00pm Stephen F Austin @ Central Arkansas
8:05pm Texas A&M-CC @ Lamar
8:30pm McNeese State @ Southeastern Louisiana
10:00pm UC Irvine @ UC Santa Barbara
