The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Dec. 8

Tonight's Marquee Match Up features a late night fight between a team of Bulldogs and a team of Cougars.  Check out who else is playing tonight right here ...

Marquee Match Up

11:00pm Gonzaga @ Washington State

My how the mighty have fallen … To be fair, the Zags haven’t had the easiest of schedules to start the season and their losses have been to some very good teams.  That being said, a bright spot for us Canadian basketball fans is that Rob Sacre has been playing a lot more like the guy we think he can be on the floor.  He was the lone player for Gonzaga to have had a good game against Illinois this past weekend posting his second double-double of the season with a team high 15 points and game high 10 rebounds. That's a great sign that he's finally able to get to that next level with his talent.  What Gonzaga will need though is more production from both Kelly Olynyk and Manny Arop. Olynyk’s per game averages of 7.4 points and 5.9 rebounds are still great for the minutes he plays (17.6) but he has a tendency to not be involved on either end in stretches during contests.  Arop, on the other hand, has been inconsistent this season playing well in short spurts and then vanishing in long stretches.  Against a tough Washington State team, the latter two players will need to step up for the Zags if they want to win this one in hostile territory to an instate rival.

Here is a look on tonight's game from our SB Nation colleagues at The Slipper Still Fits.

And everyone else is playing here ...

6:00pm Toledo @ IPFW

7:00pm Minnesota @ Saint Joseph’s– This is a game worthy of tuning in to.  Devoe Joseph will be on his third game back from an early season suspension and it will be interesting to see what he does.  He didn’t start his first two games back and he probably won’t start tonight either.  I just want to see how he comes out tonight after dropping 16 points in his first game and 5 points in his last.  Saint Joseph’s will be a tough team to bust out on though.

7:00pm Seton Hall vs. Arkansas

7:00pm Towson @ George Washington

7:00pm Rhode Island @ Northeastern

7:00pm Maine @ Massachusetts

7:00pm NJIT @ LafayetteJared Mintz has quietly been playing very well for the Leopards this season, as you should already know.  In his last game over Sacred Heart, he finished with a near double-double (10 points and 9 rebounds) after being saddled in the first half with early foul trouble.  Against a team like NJIT, which is still transitioning into Division 1, Mintz should have a good game.

7:00pm Hofstra @ Binghamton

7:00pm Niagara @ Buffalo

7:00pm Kentucky Christian @ Eastern Kentucky

7:00pm High Point @ Tennessee Tech

7:00pm Detroit @ Western MichiganJason Calliste has been playing well in his last four games.  He’s averaging 15 points, 4.25 rebounds and a steal in about 31 minutes a game.  He’s only failed to score less than 10 points twice this season and once was after coming off a 20 point game.  Guess how many points he had in his last game?

8:00pm Tennessee-Martin @Central Arkansas

8:00pm Iona @ Long Island– Senior Kyle Johnson has been the star of this Long Island team so far this season.  He’s leading the team in scoring and is second in rebounds while playing 30 plus minutes a game.  Before his last game, he managed to score in double digits in every contest.  After scoring a season low 9 points Saturday, look for him to come out strong against Iona tonight.

8:00pm SIU-Edwardsville @ Loyola (Ill)

10:30pm San Diego State @ Cal
