The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Dec. 7

Tonight we have another choose your own Marquee Match Up game night:  In one corner you have the Orange trying to crush the Spartans and in the other you have the Bonnies trying to weather a Red Storm.  Find out who else is playing tonight right here ...

Marquee Match Up

7:00pm St. Bonaventure @ St. John’s

The newly resurgent Bonnies are currently sitting on top of the early Atlantic 10 standings at 4-2 largely due to the great play of Andrew Nicholson.  Tonight though, they will have a tough test from the Red Storm.  Nicholson has been nothing but exactly what his current coach predicted he’d be at this time in his career, which is pretty damn good.  He will look to lead his team over a St. John’s team that is also on the rise and has won five straight games including one over Arizona State. Nicholson is working on two straight double-doubles and it could be a third tonight, which the Bonnies will need for a chance to weather the Red Storm on their home floor.

UPDATE:  Here's a little something from the New York Post about tonight's match up.

9:00pm Michigan State vs. Syracuse

Syracuse is coming into this game undefeated but there is a 50/50 chance that could change tonight.  The Spartans have been winning the games they should, winning a tough one against Washington and losing at the wire to both UConn and Duke.  The Orange have done the same so this should be an even match up.  Most important for us Canadian basketball fans is that we get to see Kris Joseph.  He’ll likely be defended by Durrell Summers and this should be a tough one.  Since Joseph’s play has been a little inconsistent this season so it will interesting to see if he shows up at pre season All American for this game.

And here are where everyone else is playing ...

7:00pm Worcester Tech @ HarvardLaurent Rivard is the reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Week and I just want to see what he does to Worcester Tech.  I mean, he dropped 15 on Michigan, right.

7:00pm Wagner @ Columbia – I think we should have a stunna watch and it should be put on Tyler Murray for the time being.  This week’s NC-Double-Eh Player of the Week had been on a tear, particularly the last three games, and is should continue tonight.  Colombia is a tough team defensively so it will be a good match up.  Be sure to check out for 7-footer Max Craig from Montreal who plays for Columbia also.

7:00pm Robert Morris @ West Virginia

7:00pm W. Virginia Tech @ Cleveland State

7:00pm Gardner-Webb @ ElonRoger Dugas may be one of the best kept secret of all the Canadian ballers playing it the NCAA.  He’s averaging a very respectable 7.6 points and 6 rebounds in 25.6 starter minutes for the Elon Phoenix this season.  I think this is a game that you should start to keep tabs on him.

7:00pm Colgate @ St. Francis (NY)

8:00pm Canisius @ South Dakota

8:00pm Philander Smith @ Ark-Little Rock

8:00pm Louisiana Tech @ Northwestern State

8:15pm Middle Tennessee @ Belmont

9:00pm Texas A&M @ Marquette – As my man Darren Andrade said a week ago, Junior Cadougan’s stats are misleading.  Cadougan is not scoring big but he is playing 19 minutes a game and dishing out 3.4 assists while playing great defense.  Expect him to do the same in this game and enjoy the beauty that is a pure point guard.

10:05pm Idaho State @ Cal Bakersfield
