The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Dec. 6

Today's Marquee Match Up features a pair of Cyclones looking to tear through Southeast Missouri.  Check out who else is playing tonight right here ...

Marquee Match Up

8:00pm Southeast Missouri State @ Iowa State

After reeling off six straight wins to start the season, the Iowa State Cyclones are potentially staring at a three game losing streak.  The upset loss to Northern Iowa and then the squeaker loss to Cal Saturday are dampening any spirit right now so a win against Southeast Missouri State is a must.  Both Jamie Vanderbeken and Melvin Ejim failed to reach ten points in scoring in the two losses and for Ejim that snapped his consecutive double digit scoring streak.  For a team like Iowa State to go three straight losses before a very, very tough conference schedule is not a good thing, especially if they are looking to get shot at respect this season.  Both Canadians have been playing well so far on both ends of the floor but they will need to give a little more in this game to help snap the losing and get back to winning right now.  Southeast Missouri State hasn’t won a game yet all season and the Cyclones should not be looking to be that first one.

And here is where everyone else is playing tonight ...

7:00pm Sacred Heart @ Lafayette – Lafayette has been having a less than stellar start to their season beginning 2-6 and they’ll be facing a Sacred Heart team that is in the same boat.  This should be a good one to watch as both teams will likely scrap it out to get another win.  Jared Mintz has been nothing short of the anchor for the Leopards this year and is coming off a 14 point, 6 rebound, 5 assist performance against Susquehanna Wednesday.  Expect to see the same game from Mintz in this one.

7:30pm Delaware State @ Maine

8:00pm Alcorn State @ Kansas State

10:00pm Portland @ Washington – This will be a game to keep an eye on.  Portland has been a good team all season winning handily, except against the high majors.  In their losses to Kentucky and Washington State, the Pilots have averaged a 22 point deficit.  The good news about this game against Washington is that Canadian Nem Mitrovic has been playing well of late.  Mitrovic has been on fire from the three hitting 10 of his last 20 which includes 4-of-6 in the win over Montana Friday night.  Canadian Jasonn Hannibal had a career high 12 points last week against Saint Louis and should be getting more time in this game.  The other Canuck Riley Barker has been a DNP the last two games so he could be under the same status again tonight.
