As a side note to the above story, I want to let all of you know that long time Toronto Star staff writer David Grossman will be leaving after 30 some odd years with the newspaper.  He covered all the amateur athletics in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond and has done a great job raising the profile of the sport we love.  I just want to wish him a happy well earned retirement.
