NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Nov. 14

Today we have a marquee match up that showcases one of the possible Canadian big men that could find a home in the NBA.  Check out who else is playing today right here in the NC-Double-Eh Schedule ...

Marquee Match Up

2:00pm Arkansas-Little Rock @ St. Bonaventure

So this game should be interesting.  Though there are other games playing today with better teams and other players, this one should be a close game so it will be a good one to watch.  You should all know who Andrew Nicholson is by now.  We’ve been harping about him for two years and his resume should speak for itself.  He went for 23 pts and 7 rbs in all but 2 minutes of action in the Bonnies 10 point loss to Canisius this week so this should be a good one for him.  The Ark-Little Rock Trojans don’t have a great big so Nicholson should have his way for the most part in the middle.  Bear in mind though that the Trojans did win against Southern Methodist two days ago using a small lineup for the most part.  Ottawa’s Eric Kibi had 11 pts and 6 rbs and 2 stls in 26 mins in that win.  After all that we’ve said here, it should be a good game to watch.

12:00pm Cornell @ Seton Hall

2:00pm Alabama State @ Iowa StateJamie Vanderbeken had a surprising 23 pts, 8 rbs and 3 blks in 35 mins in the first Cyclone game of the year.  Toronto freshman Melvin Ejim had 10 pts, 4 rbs and 2 stls in 21 mins of action that game also to so it stands to reason that both players will have a decent game against Alabama State today.

2:00pm Maine @ MarylandMurphy Burnatowski will have his hands full if Terps swingmen Sean Mosley or Cliff Tucker are guarding him, which may be likely.  Murph will also have his hands full is he has to guard one of them too.  Either way, it will be a good growing game for him.

2:00pm Bucknell @ Marquette

3:00pm Canisius @ SyracuseKris Joseph didn’t need to play all that big in the Syracuse 68-46 win over Northern Illinois Friday since it was a) a blowout and b) a total team effort due to it being a blowout.  But Joseph’s line of 14 pts, 5 rbs and 2 asts were great for a guy who likely got max defensive attention during the game.  I think this game against the Griffins will be a blowout win too but it’s always nice to see a blossoming player like Joseph early in the blossoming stages.

3:05pm SIU-Edwardsville @ Illinois State

3:30pm Bryant University @ Iona

4:00pm Eastern Kentucky @ Indiana State

4:00pm IUPUI @ Gonzaga – a great win by Gonzaga against Southern Friday and it went as you may think.  Olynyk and Sacre both started and played about half the game each with both nearly getting a double-double (Olynyk with 10 pts and 9 rbs, Sacre with 11 pts and 7 rbs).  Manny Arop added 9 pts and 8 rbs off the bench in 17 minutes in the blowout win.  Expect much of the same thing here in this game but if it stays close to the end, it will be interesting to see which of the three Canadians is the odd man out on the floor.

4:00pm Lafayette @ RiderJared Mintz had a great game in the tough loss to Wagner Friday night to start the season.  He had 23 pts, 7 rbs and 2 asts while going a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw line.  Against Rider, he’ll have a tough match up on D with the Broncs having two legit frontcourt stars that rebound and score so this will be a good early game for Mintz.

6:00pm Kent State @ Cleveland State

7:35pm Cal State Bakersfield @ Sacramento State

8:30pm Florida Atlantic @ Portland
