NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Jan 16

There are some really big games today that feature some very talented Canadian ballers.  If you're looking for where they're playing and what time, you need to check out the schedule right here.

As always, The Can Ball Report has highlighted the games that need to be watched on this big day of NCAA basketball.  Remember that all games are in Eastern Standard Time and to check in with the Can Ball Report Twitter page for any game links that we can find on the internet.

Jan 16

12:00pm (5) Syracuse @ (9) West Virginia – this is a must watch game, hands down!  Two Top 10 teams from a tough conference with Andy Rautins and Kris Joseph having to test themselves against a really, really good team that starts no one under 6’5".  Watch for the fireworks!

1:00pm UNC-Wilmington @ Northeastern

1:00pm Missouri @ Oklahoma

2:00pm Long Island @ Mount St Mary’s – Kyle Johnson has hit for double digits in the scoring column nine of the last eleven games with over 15 in four of the last five.

2:00pm Stony Brook @ Maine

2:00pm Central Michigan @ Western Michigan

3:00pm Citadel @ Samford

3:05pm McNeese State @ Lamar – never bashful to put up a shot, Diego Kapelan has hit for double figures in scoring four of the last five games including a season high 31 points at Rice.

3:15pm Belmont @ Jacksonville

3:30pm Bucknell @ Holy Cross – it seems freshman Bryson Johnson is becoming a consistent scoring threat off the bench at the right time of the season.

3:30pm Niagara @ Iona

3:30pm Sacred Heart @ Central Connecticut State

4:00pm Columbia @ Cornell

4:00pm La Salle @ Richmond

4:00pm Delaware State @ Bethune-Cookman

5:00pm Central Arkansas @ Texas State

5:30pm Chicago State @ Texas-Pan American

6:00pm Southern Utah @ Oakland

7:00pm Saint Joseph’s @ St Bonaventure – another big in conference game for Nicholson who came off a lackluster game against Charlotte.  After a few days off, this should be a game he should look to take over early.

7:00pm Southeast Missouri State @ Eastern Kentucky – Papa Oppong was big for the Cowboys in the team’s win over Eastern Illinois two days ago.  He’s scored 14 or more points four of the last five games.

7:00pm Lafayette @ Navy – big rivalry game in conference should have Mintz on fire.  He’s averaging about 15 points, 5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the last five contest.

7:00pm Fairleigh Dickinson @ St Francis (PA)

7:00pm Davidson @ Wofford

7:00pm St Francis (NY) @ Wagner

7:00pm Elon @ Western Carolina

7:30pm USC @ UCLA

8:00pm FIU @ Western Kentucky

8:00pm Iowa State @ Nebraska

8:00pm Northwestern State @ Texas A&M-CC

8:00pm Detroit @ Green Bay

9:00pm (14) Gonzaga @ San Diego – playing some games tighter than maybe they should have the last few, the Zags are coming off a great win at Saint Mary’s Thursday that they could have easily lost.  The Canadian quintet of Sacre, Arop, Kong and Olynyk were all big contributors in the win and should have big games here.

9:00pm Fresno State @ New Mexico State

9:05pm Cal Northridge @ Cal Fullerton

10:00pm UC Irvine @ Pacific

10:00pm Portland @ Saint Mary’s

10:05pm Northern Colorado @ Eastern Washington

11:00pm Santa Clara @ Loyola Marymount – the very talented but oddly inconsistent Trasolini should have his hands full in this game against the LMU frontline.  Expect a big game from Traz who has had some big games including a 22 point, 5 rebound and 3 block night against then ranked UNLV.
