Have you completed your bracket?!

The beginning of the tournament is just hours away and tomorrow we will be bringing you Part I of our "Who to Watch" Series. Before that however, make sure you enter into one of these two pools:

The RaptorsHQ Pool is on Yahoo! The League ID# is 134101 and the password is RHQ. It's free so sign-up!

If you are looking to make some good loot off your bracket be sure to join this pool being put on by a few friends of the HQ:

Cost of the pool is $20 Canadian. You can enter as many times as you want. First prize this year could easily be in the $1500-$2000 range. (Last year was over $1800). Money must be in by the
start of the first game on the first Thursday (March 19, 2009 at 12pm ET)...no exceptions.

There are numerous ways you can pay. You can pay via Paypal (if doing so please include an extra $1.50 to cover the fees), or if you online bank via an Electronic Interac transfer. If you haven't paid by the start of the first game, then your entry will be deleted. If paying by pay pal or interac transfer, payment can be sent to either Ryan Michalski (ryan_michalski@hotmail.com) or Rob Bastow
(robbastow@hotmail.com).

Prizes will be awarded accordingly: 1st = 60%, 2nd = 30%, and 3rd = 10%. One note regarding the points system, in case you don’t bother to check under the "group rules" on our site.

There will be bonus points awarded in the first two rounds corresponding to the seed of the correctly picked winner. You receive this bonus regardless of whether the winner is a favorite or underdog. For example, in the 3 vs. 14 first round match-up: if you correctly pick the 3 seed, then you will get a 3 point bonus which is added to the 10 points you receive for correctly picking a first round game right, 10 + 3 = 13 pts. On the other hand, if you correctly pick the 14 seed, then you will receive 10 + 14 = 24 pts. This bonus system will only be used during rounds 1 and 2, and provides a bit more of an incentive to try and pick upsets.

Please contact either Ryan Michalski
(ryan_michalski@hotmail.com) or Rob Bastow
(robbastow@hotmail.com) if you have any questions. Feel free to forward this to anyone you think might be interested.
