Arkansas Basketball Practice Facility Opening In Summer 2015?

It looks like UA's committing to having this facility opened in about a year and a half. I followed up with Mike Waddell after he tweeted this, asking when construction was set to begin and he replied "Stay Tuned....". But regardless, doubt this is displayed in Bud Walton if it's not going to happen.

This appears to be a picture of the new concourse graphics in Bud Walton Arena, which we've been told have been updated in prep for Friday

Maui Invitational Bracket Announced

Arkansas will begin against California on November 25th, then will play either Syracuse or Minnesota. Chaminade, Baylor, Gonzaga, and Dayton are on the other side of the bracket.

BJ Young's Career At A Crossroads After NBA Draft Disappointment

Jim Harris offers his take on Young's professional prospects after failing to get drafted last Thursday. Can Young duplicate Patrick Beverly's path of eventually finding a role in the NBA after work overseas or will he be remembered like Olu Famutimi, as a highly rated player that was never able to put it all together.

Arkansas Basketball Above APR Benchmark!

After struggling below the NCAA academic benchmarks for what seems like forever, even losing a scholarship as the Pelphrey disaster reached the classroom, Hog basketball is back in the black. The latest APR numbers were released Tuesday and now that basketball is back in good graces, that makes all 19 sports on the good side of book learnin'. Also of note, Bret Bielema's Wisconsin numbers are among the best in the country.

Painter Spurns Missouri; Purple Half of Unholy Alliance Offers Condolences

Matt Painter will remain at Purdue. I jumped the gun by about 10 minutes, as it turned out. At the time, evidence appeared overwhelming in favor of Mizzou pulling this off. And then all hell broke loose. All I can say right now, Missouri fans, is that I know how you feel. You just experienced all the exhilaration I felt during the week Bob Huggins was hired and all the depression I felt the week he left — only for you, it was compressed into 24 hours. That, I cannot even imagine. Keep your chins up. You'll get a good coach, I'm sure of it. I know K. Scott Bailey might disagree, but if Matt Painter replaces Mike Anderson — as this report indicates will happen soon — I'm cool with Mizzou again for a while. Like KSB, I soured on the whole Unholy Alliance concept this year and last as Mizzou's play became increasingly douchy and Anderson became increasingly intolerable. But Painter is good people. He's like Frank Martin in a lot of ways, not least of which is coaching philosophy. Mizzou once again will defend. If K-State ever is to have a hope of winning this conference, we need some other programs to step up their game and start beating KU, too. Painter will make Self's life hell, IMO. And this is just horrible news for coaches such as Rick Barnes and Scott Drew, who are going to get exposed against Martin, Painter and Self twice a year now.

Enter the Matrix: Mike Anderson, Keanu Reeves and Recruiting

"He doesn’t wear a trench coat, ingest blue pills or lose himself in a massive throng of bodies dancing at an underground rave, but in his own way new Arkansas head basketball coach Mike Anderson is The One..."

Will Hiring A Former Nolan Richardson Assistant Mark The Return Of 40 Minutes Of Hell To Arkansas?

The Arkansas Razorbacks recently named former Nolan Richardson assistant coach and player (at Tulsa) Mike Anderson as their new head coach. There was some speculation that they wouldn't hire Anderson due to hard feelings from how Richarson left the program, but what has fans excited now is the possibility of restoring the Razorback Basketball Brand to the program, as described by SBN's Arkansas Expats (linked in title above).

Missouri Prepared To Fight Arkansas For Mike Anderson

Though most rumors have not included Mike Anderson has a heavy favorite for the head coach position at Georgia Tech, his name has surfaced enough times for it to be an influence in the search. If this battle ends up as speculated, Dan Radakovich can scratch one name off the list. How do you think the other coaching vacancies in the Big 6 Conferences affect the Georgia Tech search?
