Game Day Thread: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Toronto Raptors

Things aren't so rosy in Milwaukee right now apparently, but that doesn't mean this should prove to be a tough game for TO. Scott Skiles' crew always plays tight D and considering Toronto's scoring woes this year (minus games against the Wizards obviously), it could be a painful viewing for Raptors' fans.

But minus Andrew Bogut, the Bucks' interior isn't so sturdy and if the Raps make it a point to attack on the inside, this could easily be a Toronto win.

The Wizards again?

Yep, only this time Toronto is in Washington to take on a team they've already played twice this season.

The Raps should have a 2 - 0 record against the Wiz but as we all know, that's not the case so the tie-breaker goes tonight on TSN.

I'm going to settle in for a nice game of ill-advised shot attempts, transition dunks, and errant passes...

So the Raps crushed the Wiz...and as a prize for the convincing win, they get a trip to South Beach!!

Oh...to play the 17 and 6 Miami Heat.

This one will be tough no doubt, but Dino fans are hoping to at least see the team put in a solid effort against a much more talented squad.

While I was interested to see how the Toronto Raptors would do against the Boston Celtics, I'm even more interested to see how they AFTER the Boston Celtics.

That's of course because the Dinos got crushed just two days ago by said Celts and now have to rebound tonight to get back on track.

In many ways the beleaguered Wiz are the perfect team to rebound against considering their record and play this season, but the same thought crossed Raptors' fans minds last month...and Toronto promptly lost to Washington, giving the Wizards their lone road win of the season to date.

And that was with Andrea Bargnani and maybe Leandro Barbosa, Barbosa, a game-time decision after missing practice with the flu.

Considering how tough it's been for the team to score down only one of the two, tonight could be a major challenge, even against the Wiz.

This one should be interesting.

Normally I'd say the Raps would be in tough against the C's but Boston hasn't exactly been setting the East on fire this year.

Plus, it sounds like Rajon Rondo is on the shelf for the Celtics one more game.

So win/win right?

On the other hand, if may not matter who plays for Boston if the version of the Raptors that "showed up" last night against the Hawks, takes the floor again. This to me is one of those "litmus test" matches for the Dinos, to see if indeed progress is being made, or the club's success has been more due to their schedule than anything else.

No Bargnani for this one but Barbosa is good to go as the Toronto Raptors host the Atlanta Hawks tonight at the ACC.

The Raps of course are coming off a nice win over the New Jersey Nets, and are unbelievably looking for their fourth win in five games. The Hawks, as we mentioned in this morning's preview, are one of the top teams in the East and will be a very tough test tonight for the Dinos.

Toronto needs to keep Atlanta's 3-point shooting in check and hopefully get another big game for DeMar DeRozan.

Oh...and maybe keep Josh Smith in check this time?

Remember what happened the last time the Raptors faced the Nets? Yeah, the 3-point barrage from hell and a loss to a team that they arguably should have beaten. Now, with no Bargs it becomes that much tougher so it will take a full team effort, and certain key guys to step up in order to pull this one off.

Let's face it. No Bargs tonight makes this one a very tough challenge. But the Nuggets aren't 100 per cent either so time for the Dinos to dig in and get a much-needed W.
