The 4 seed might be the best Seed for us

There has been a lot of hullabaloo about the Raptors dropping from the 2 seed and it's understandable why but, the 4 seed might be best for us and here's why:

To win the East teams have to get past the Cavaliers, everyone knows that, I believe that the Raptors would have the best shot at beating the Cavs with the team at the 4 seed.

Despite the slump still I believe that the Raptors are the deepest team in the East and the 2nd best overall. The benefit of higher seedings is home court advantage, and easier 1st round matchups. We can beat every team in a 7 game series, without or without home court making the 1 or 2 seed more of a luxury rather than a necessity.

The Raptors are likely to end the season at the 3 seed, or possibly the 2 seed leading to a first round matchup with either the and they're a team that could Pacers or the Bulls who are currently tied as I'm writing this. While facing the pacers doesn't worrying me to terribly much, Paul George has shown that he really steps up in the playoffs. A matchup with the Bulls however is a terrifying prospect: The Raptors have lost 10 straight to the Bulls. They're a team that the Raptors can't seem to beat for whatever reason and they're a team that can end our post season prematurely.

With the 4 seed, the Raptors 1st round matchup would most likely be the Atlanta Hawks, a well coaches team that is lacking in depth and talent. They rely on two aging vets in their front court, Howard in particular seems to be on the decline. I would be very OK with facing them in 1 round.

The Cavs have and will probably remain as the 1 seed, assuming that the Cavs beat the Pistons the 4th seeded Raptors would face the Cavs in the 2nd round. Many of you may shudder at the thought but this would be a good thing: the Cavs shooters are struggling with injuries, Kevin Love, JR Smith, and Kyle Korver are all out with injuries (Shumpert has been hurt as well, his shoulder hasn't been 100%). Both Love and Jr are on track to come back in April.

Shooters general comeback rusty after a long break from play, example : October Kyle Lowry was shooting below 30% from 3, in the months of December he shot 50%+ from three. The best way for shooters to get their rhythm and accuracy back is through repetition, they need to keep chucking up shots. If we face the Cavs in the 2nd round then their shooters will have less time to get their reps in and less time to practice. LeBron is made exponentially more dangerous when he has shooters to kick out to, we have a much greater chance at knocking off the Cavs if those shooters aren't 100%. Also with Tucker we now have a guy who can guard LeBron straight up, something that also helps to limit Bron' s ability to kick out to shooters.

That's why believe that the Raptors have the best shot to win it all at the 4 seed. I am however, an admittedly prideful dude and if the 2 or even the 1 seed is up for grabs I think that we should go after it. This is the best Raptors team ever constructed and I want people to put some "Respeck" on our names.
