Well, we put up a fight...

It was going through my mind, after Pierce knocked the ball out of bounds, man, we have a chance. A chance to win and go against the defending world champions and overcome the underdog role. But then it happened. Lowry drove to the basket and got blocked by Paul Pierce with no time left. My gut wrenched and I began to cry. Our team came this far and now it's over. And it was over at home. Although I'm still sad as I write this post, I know that this team has done a lot of good things this season.

The things I liked about our season is that they overcame a lot of things. With a proficient scorer in Rudy Gay being traded for a bunch of unknown castoffs, they came together, started passing the ball more, mostly stopped the iso play, and eventually used that to go 48-34. Also in the playoffs, they were the 3 seed, only behind Miami and a slumping Indiana. Not too many thought that Toronto would even be a playoff team. And they were also going against a Nets team that pretty much tanked because they thought the Raptors were going to be an easy task. But the Raptors fought harder than many thought underdogs could. They brought the highly favored Nets to 7 games and were 1 point away from winning only their second playoff series in their entire history. That says a lot about the Raptors' heart. This team has a lot of potential and I feel that they can be even better next year now that they have playoff experience. I can't wait for next year, even though it's hard to look forward after this loss.

Even though it's hard to say this, I have to, so go Raptors, I can't wait for next year.
