No need to really go into a history lesson here, fact is Nash has not exactly been worth the money the Lakers have been paying him, through no fault of his own. He's worked extremely hard to get back and he's been looking really good, but still, not worth the nearly 10 mill the Lakers will be paying him next season, if he is only playing at best 25 mpg and sitting out back to backs.
I am around Silverscreen and roll a bit, as i am a huge Nash fan, and any team that has him playing, has me following by default, and i know the lakers are really tight on money, especially with all the tax. That leads me to believe that the Lakers WILL be amnestying him this coming off season...should we capitalize on it?
We've needed a backup pg that can play behind lowry for the longest time, and this is a far cry from the type of multi million deal BC was trying to entice nash with. the way i see i, if we can get 20-25 minutes per night from Nash, his game is still there in small spurts, and he could be huge for us as a team, look at the highlights the last two games he's played! really impressive. BUT of course, this is dependent on if Nash can keep up how he has looked the last two games throughout the rest of the season so it could be pretty risk free considering picking him up after he is amnestied will be pretty cheap.
Do you guys think its worth a look?
