Normally a Raptors vs Pistons game in early January would be a cause for champagne.
Ok, Old Milwaukee.
The Pistons and Raptors have hardly torn up the Eastern Conference the last half-a-decade and the matches between these two clubs in recent years has represented more of a showcase on how NOT to play basketball than anything else.
Will tonight's contest be any different?
At face value it should be. The Dinos, despite two straight losses, have been playing good basketball of late and are likely relishing a chance to take on a lesser foe.
Lesser as in, losers of five straight, which is what the Pistons have done, dropping them to 14 and 21 on the season, despite having talent that begets a much better record.
So this one hopefully is a bit of a different match-up with some intriguing one-on-one battles like Jonas vs Mr. Drummond, and Amir vs J-Smooooove and two teams with athleticism to spare.
Break out the Bud Light, at least and...
