The Milwaukee Bucks aren't very good. In fact, with a record of 7-29, they're officially the worst team in the NBA.Their owner famously rebuked the idea of 'tanking' earlier this season, pointing to their 'excellent' free-agent acquisitions and drafting. The Bucks weren't superposed to be this bad, but at this point in time tanking seems to be the only salvation in a dire season.
The Raptors next four games are against teams below .500 and it gives Toronto the opportunity to make the gap between them and their Atlantic Division rivals that much bigger.
What can they do for a win?
1) Stop Giannis: Giannis Antetokounmpo is quickly becoming a fan favourite around the league .He's one of the only bright spots on a bad team and his exciting play has people in Milwaukee excited for the future. It's easy to see why. He's 6-foot-9 with a ridiculously long wingspan. His athleticism is off the charts - click here to see his block on Kevin Durant if you haven't - and his jump shot has some serious range. Containing his energy is going to be crucial for the Raptors.
2) More Patrick Patterson: Patterson had a terrific game against Brooklyn and was a surprising +40 by the end of the contest. In fact, he's averaging 14.2 PPG and 6.4 RPG in his last five outings as he continues to find his home in the rotation. He's forced his way into Dwane Casey's thoughts - Casey favoured a three-man rotation amongst his big men prior to the trade - and really looks like he's found a home. Patterson's ability to stretch the defence should be crucial against a Bucks team that can't really do much right these days.
3) Keep the ball moving: The lack of ball movement prior to the Rudy Gay trade has been mentioned quite frequently but it becomes more startling with each passing game. The not so new-look Raptors move the ball and space the floor much better these days but in the first half Saturday night against the Nets, the team returned to their pre-Rudy Trade ways. At one point the team had more turnovers than assists in fact and it wasn't until the second half that they got things going again. While this Bucks club isn't exactly a juggernaut, it's important to see the ball keeping move tonight so as to ensure the club doesn't begin to regress into its old ways.
