I've been reading here for 2 years and don't post often, but recently, as we have seen on the site, a few frequent posters have definite misgivings (to put it mildly) about BC and whether he should be given an extension. He is due to present his "plan" this week in an effort to keep his position, and I for one would love to be a fly on the wall for that one.
This had me thinking: What if MLSE held an open Job interview where YOU could present YOUR 4 year plan for the Raptors, to potentially replace BC, and be the President/GM? What would you do and why?
I personally will stay out of this as my Basketball knowledge is a fraction of most of the posters on this site. My hope is that this could be a forum where perhaps a consensus can be reached.
1. Trades must be actually plausible, or have a great argument as to why it would happen.
2. As it seems like Casey (if you keep him) might be "open to suggestion" as to starting line ups, you can give potential line up changes you'd make.
3.Draft picks can be projected for the 2013 and 2014 if you want. Just remember that winning the lottery is not something MLSE will count on.
4.This is YOUR plan not a "BC did this wrong" presentation. A board full of people that hired him doesn't want to be told they were wrong in doing so. Think future and what you can do to take this franchise to another level.
5.Clearly state where you want to be by the end of your plan, and how to judge the success or failure of your plan. i.e. Playoffs, a specific record, winning the division.
6.Directly commenting on someone's plan is encouraged, Trolling it is not. Be constructive, not destructive.
