There is a terrifying rumour going around that we are going to trade Ed Davis and Jose Calderon with a future 1st round pick for Rudy Gay and Darrel Arthur.

That would leave us with 40 million next year going to Demar, Gay and Andrea. That would also almost certainly mean that Demar and Andrea would play heavy minutes and start, as would Gay.

Talk about being doomed to mediocrity or worse. Remember, just in case you forgot, Andrea and Demar are bad players. They don't contribute to wins, they add to them. Gay is more neutral, but you don't pay a guy 19 million per year to be average. Or wait, maybe BC does. Trade a solid rookie contract player with big upside in Ed, throw in your most productive point guard in team history and a first round pick for an inferior big and an overpaid wing player. BC is obviously trying desperately to win now at all costs and keep his job. But what he forgets is if he starts Andrea, the team watches Andrea play and gets discouraged. And the team loses add up fast. Plus we will have given away two future 1st round draft picks.

If Ed goes to make room for Andrea, what happens when Arthur outplays him and the team performs better with Andrea off the floor? When will this insanity end.
