Raptors' fans are so predictable. They're so quick to throw Andrea Bargnani, arguably their best player, under the bus and they lie awake at night dreaming about Steve Nash in a Raptor's uniform.
I understand the disdain felt towards AB. After all, he's hardly lived up to his first overall draft selection. However, Bargnani finally turned a corner last season and was playing the best ball of his career before his calf started acting up. If the Raptors are truly serious about winning now, they shouldn't even consider moving their best offensive player.
As for why Toronto fans have their hearts set on Steve Nash becoming a Raptor, that is more perplexing. I know the guy's a Canadian hero in basketball circles, but he's also almost 40 years old. The Raptors already have a great PG on an expiring contract and I'd be surprised if Bryan Colangelo doesn't take a PG with the 8th pick of the draft. (Lilliard, Lamb) Having Jose Calderon and Steve Nash doesn't make sense.
